HERO Intelligence joins hands with China Railway Construction to build the intelligent logistics of the core of Sichuan-Tibet Railway, realizing the automation upgrade of geological core storage and logistics!


Project Overview

The National Technology Innovation Center of Sichuan-Tibet Railway (Chengdu) project, with the national strategic orientation and demand as the traction, focuses on the construction and operation demand of Sichuan-Tibet Railway, builds a whole chain service system covering big data intelligent support, inspection and testing and consulting and training, etc., and aims to promote the industrialization and application of the major scientific and technological innovations through the breakthrough of the key core technologies.


In the face of the many core samples generated by the complex geological environment along the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the traditional warehousing method exists in the form of low space utilization, poor retrieval efficiency and management of blind spots and other pain points.

To address these pain points, HERO Intelligence customized the core automatic storage system for the project, integrating the “stacker system + AGV system + robot system + WMS system + WCS system + digital twin system + access system”, realizing the automatic storage and handling of geological cores, and significantly improving the storage space and utilization efficiency.



Project highlights
Sichuan-Tibet Railway core automatic storage system covers an area of about 4,500 square meters, with a height of 8.5m, a total of 6,612 cargo spaces, and adopts “intelligent equipment + intelligent system” for comprehensive management. Its project highlights are:

Highlight 1: Adopting high-level three-dimensional shelves and double-deep stacker cranes, making full use of the vertical space of the warehouse and optimizing the layout of the aisles, which greatly improves the utilization rate of the storage space of the geological core warehouse.



Highlight 2: Intelligent equipments such as double-deep stacker cranes, laser forklift AGVs and six-axis robots work together to realize automated storage and handling of geological cores, with significant improvement in operational efficiency.



Highlight 3: Deployment of intelligent systems such as WMS, WCS and digital twin realizes the unification of logistics and information flow, which facilitates rapid retrieval of geological core information and intelligent management and monitoring.
